Center description

Clinica Alemana Spine Surgery Unit is part of one of the biggest Traumatology and Orthopedics departments in Chile, with a staff of over 60 subspecialty fully trained orthopedic surgeons. Our weekly activities include 2 to 3 OR days and 2 clinic days, together with our 2hour multidisciplinary meeting on Tuesdays, were we discuss complex cases, recent papers and assess research issues. Regarding emergency cases, we are able to offer a "24/7" service for spine cases, including a fully equipped OR and a wide range of in-house implants.

  • Degenerative: approx. 12 per month
  • Deformity: approx. 1 per month
  • Trauma: approx. 4 per month
  • Tumor: approx. 2 per month

As a new training center and according to the new regulations for Spine Centers, financial support will depend on the number of  vacancies available and annual grants allocations.
