Call for 2019 Regional Board Elections

Call AOSLA Board Election 2019

We are pleased to announce the call for applications for the 2019 Regional Board Elections. The election will be for the positions of Education, Community Development and Spine Centers & Fellowships Officers. Currently the positions are under the administration of Néstor Taboada (CO), Jaime Segura (CO) and Emiliano Vialle (BR) respectively, who will officially end their terms on June 30, 2019.

Every AOSpine member who are willing to contribute to the development of the organization and who meet the requirements are eligible. The deadline to send the application is February 18, 2019. Once the candidatures are validated by the electoral committee, the electronic election process will begin. Candidates will be notified regarding candidacy status by the end of February.

The term of office for all positions is three years. The new officers will start their terms on July 1, 2019 until June 30, 2022. The exception is the Education position that has a member-elect term from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020, and then follows its official term from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023.

Application

The candidate must complete the application form AOSpine CV & Disclosure and send it to aosla@aospine.org.

Applications submitted after February 18, 2019 won’t be accepted.

Voting

Only members with a paid membership when voting starts will be entitled to one vote and will do it anonymously through their profile on our website www.aospine.org.

To be elected the candidate needs to reach a simple majority of valid votes (>50%). In case that none of the candidates reaches the majority, it will be necessary to hold a second round of voting with the two most voted candidates.
