2019 AO Spine North America Young Investigator Research Grant Award—Call for applications

AO Spine North America Research Committee encourages new researchers in their early career by providing start-up funding.

Purpose

 

The AO Spine North America Research Committee established research funding that is available to new investigators who have a desire to perform high-quality, clinically relevant spinal or spinal cord research in basic or clinical science. The purpose of the AO Spine North America Young Investigator Research Grant Award (YIRGA) is to encourage new researchers in their early career by providing start-up funding of up to $20,000.00 for one year.

Eligibility Requirements

 

The primary applicant must be a subscribing member of AOSNA (cannot be a “disqualified person”). The applicant must be a physician or a surgeon with focused interest in disorders of the spine/spinal cord and with an appointment at a university or hospital-based research institution. They must be within five years of their clinical appointment and less than 45 years of age.

Submissions

The deadline for application submission is December 31, 2018.

Award winners will be announced in March 2019 at the AOSNA Fellowship Forum.
