AO Spine Europe and Southern Africa (AOSEU) European Regional Board Elections
AO Spine Europe and Southern Africa (AOSEU) is calling for applications for the positions of the Research and Community Development Officers on the European regional board.
18 February 2019
The role of Research is currently held by Giovanni Barbanti Bordano (Italy), the role of Community Development by Zdenek Klezl (UK) whose term ends in June 2019. The elected persons will hold the positions as of July 1st, 2019.
We would be delighted to hear from candidates interested in succeeding them.
Research Officer and Community Development Officers:
All current and past officers on an AOSEU country council are eligible to stand for election.
For these positions, further criteria apply as defined in the attached job descriptions. Please check your membership, as only active members of AO Spine are eligible to apply. If you are not an active member anymore, please renew your membership before application.
Re-election of current or former board members to the same or another position is not possible.
All current AOSEU officers—regional board and country council members—have one vote, cast anonymously on the AO Spine website.
All candidates must submit their application—CV, conflict of interest disclosure and motivation letter—to email@example.com by Sunday, March 10th, 2019 (midnight). The nomination committee will review the applications. All candidates will receive an answer by Monday, March 18th, 2019. The election is planned to run from Tuesday, April 2nd until Thursday, May 2nd, 2019.
The successful candidate for both positions will be the candidate holding more than 50% of all casted votes. If none of the candidates reaches the necessary majority in the first round, a second round with the top two candidates will be run.
The nomination committee will then ratify the electoral process and inform the candidates of the outcome. The result will be announced latest by the end of June 2019.
With best wishes
Giovanni Barbanti Brodano, Lorin Benneker, Zdenek Klezl
