It provides young researchers with seed money in the early part of their research career.

This invitation is open to young AO investigators, up to 40 years of age, who are within five years of completing a professional degree or initiating their first assistant professor position at an academic institution. Each award is up to CHF 25'000 and for the duration of one year.

The deadline for submission is May 1, 2021.

Applications are rated on their scientific merit, clinical relevance, and feasibility. A blinded peer-review process will be conducted through scientific evaluation by the AO Spine Research Commission. Results will be announced in July 2021.
