During the event, they successfully acquired new members and crossed the magical line of 100.
Erbil, the beautiful historical city in Northern Iraq, was chosen as venue for the very first Live Surgery Course in the country, and one of the first one in the whole region. Under the leadership of Chairman Ghazwan Hasan, and EA Muzahem Taha, faculty from India, Jordan, Egypt, and Iraq held lectures about Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, gave case presentations, and led the participants from all over Iraq through interactive discussions. MISS expert Roger Hartl enriched the event through a virtual lecture that he transmitted from Lahore, Pakistan, where he was faculty at another AO Spine Course at the time. One of the highlights was the part of Live Surgery. Participants could follow on a screen Pramod Lokhande from Pune, India, doing interlaminal and transforaminal Endoscopic spine surgeries at Erbil's PAR Hospital. Feedback from both faculty and participants was excellent.
Beside the academical part, the AOSIRQ Council achieved another important goal. They acquired new members and convinced many to renew, so they gained over 20 new membership in our Iraqi network, and reached the magical line of 100 members. We congratulate them for this double achievement.
