Quality Management Task Force

The Quality Management Task Force aims at delivering education that is best value for money and effort by providing education that is focused on improving patient outcomes. The key objectives of the Task Force are to ensure AOSpine's educational event

  1. Planning is based on needs assessment and learning outcomes
  2. Content is based on best evidence and clinical guidelines
  3. Format is appropriate to learning outcomes
  4. Evaluation is based on metrics
  5. Value is based on cost/benefit analysis
  6. Quality improvement is based on change of practice and patient outcome measures.

The Task Force is reaching these objectives by

  1. Defining patient reporting outcomes metrics
  2. Using an event scorecard, key performance indicators and annual needs assessment process for educational event planning
  3. Developing clinical pathways with Knowledge Forums
  4. Defining criteria for event success
  5. Establishing faculty performance review framework and using faculty metrics for faculty management together with the Faculty Management Task Force

This Task Force helps AOSpine ensure our education meets the highest quality standards. We strive to do this by assessing and evaluating every educational activity we organize, and by using the data available to do what we do in education even better."
