Educational Strategies Task Force

The Educational Strategies Task Force aims at leading innovation in spine surgery education by delivering education that reflects the context of the learning in the surgical workplace. The key objectives of the Task Force are to ensure AOSpine's education includes

  1. Blended learning
  2. Hospital based events
  3. Hands-on courses that are realistic
  4. Remote access events that are low cost

The Task Force is reaching these objectives by

  1. Having helped introduce blended learning to educational events, including the MIS module
  2. Having created and piloted hospital-based simulation training courses
  3. Introducing new innovative concepts and delivery methods
  4. Developing a comprehensive library of online assets
  5. Developing online only educational formats
  6. Extending existing educational formats including Surgery Reference and Touch Surgery modules
  7. Optimizing usage of the learning management system

The Educational Strategies Task Force will allow AOSpine to develop and offer innovative educational programs on a variety of platforms to meet the changing needs of our members​."
